Dubai has dramatically shortened the processing time for work permits and residency visas from 30 days to just 5 days with the introduction of the UAE government’s new ‘Work Bundle’ platform. The initiative, initially launched in Dubai, simplifies processes by consolidating multiple services into one platform. It reduces procedures from eight services to a single platform, cuts required steps from 15 to just five, and decreases necessary documents from 16 to five.
The number of visits needed has been reduced from seven to two, significantly speeding up transaction completion. Gulf News reports that this transformation has slashed processing time from 30 working days to only five. The success in Dubai paves the way for the gradual expansion of this initiative to other Emirates in the near future.
