Soon, people in Dubai might not need passports or visas to go on trips. The Emirates said that Dubai residents won’t have to show their passports or any other travel papers at Dubai International Airport. This new way will use a simple digital scan. When travelers get to the check-in counter, their faces will be scanned, and their pictures taken. They’ll get all the details for their trip and help with their luggage. Their journey will be recorded using their face.
At immigration, they can go straight to a special gate, without going to the counter. This is because their face and pictures will be enough to show who they are, so they won’t need any travel papers at the gate. If everything is okay with their security and they don’t have any problems with their visas or fines, they won’t have to wait in long lines.
Also, earlier this year, Dubai International Airport introduced a new system. This lets people do the check-in and immigration without needing their physical passports or boarding passes.
