21 Indian students who were deported from the United States on the same day might not be allowed to return for five years. This is because their student visas were canceled.
Experts say that these students could also face difficulties if they want to study in other popular countries like Canada, the UK, or Australia. The cancellation of their visas could also affect their chances of getting an H1B visa later on, unless big international companies support them.
Financially, losing the F1 visa is a big hit. These students lose a lot of money on visa fees, plane tickets, applying to universities, consulting fees, and more, which could add up to about ₹3 lakh.
The students who were deported had done everything to get their visas and had gone to the US with dreams of higher education. However, their dreams were shattered when they were deported.
