Delhi Police apprehended Mujeeb PP (49) in connection with a fake passport and visa racket at Indira Gandhi International Airport. The arrest followed the detection of a passenger, Vishal Khullar, carrying a counterfeit passport with a Schengen Visa. The security staff at Air India discovered the fake visa during document scrutiny. Mujeeb PP, residing in Perashannur, Kuttipuram, Malappuram district, Kerala, was taken into custody. The case originated from an incident on March 14, 2019, involving Vishal Khullar, who secured departure clearance to Madrid, Spain, based on the fraudulent Schengen Visa.

Following further investigation with the German ALO at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in New Delhi, confirming the visa’s illegitimacy, Delhi Police obtained a non-bailable warrant for Mujeeb PP’s arrest. The accused, known for duping victims with purportedly affordable visas, frequently changed office locations. Their scheme involved offering discounted approved visas and targeting individuals seeking opportunities abroad. This racket had previously resulted in the arrest of two agents and a passenger with fake visas for Spain. In custody, Mujeeb PP confessed to operating on a commission basis, receiving Rs 50,000 for each victim, along with other agents.
