The Czech Republic has introduced a new visa for skilled remote workers from eight countries: Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan, the UK, and the USA. The visa allows freelancers and remote workers to stay and work in the country for one year.
The goal of the visa is to attract talented IT professionals to the Czech Republic. To be eligible for the visa, you must have a valid passport from one of the eligible countries, a clean criminal record, and health insurance. You must also be able to support yourself financially during your stay in the Czech Republic.
If you are a freelancer, you will also need to obtain a Czech business license. The business license is required in order to work with Czech companies.
