Cyprus’ Digital Nomad Visa has been ranked as the second worst in the world, according to a new index from VisaGuide.World. The index considers factors such as ease of obtaining the visa, taxes for remote workers, cost of living, and internet speed.

Spain was ranked as the country with the best Digital Nomad Visa, while Anguilla was ranked as the worst. Cyprus’ low ranking is due to its high minimum income requirement for visa applicants, as well as its relatively slow internet speed.

Despite the low ranking, Cyprus has taken some steps to attract digital nomads. In March 2022, the country increased the number of Digital Nomad Visas it issues from 100 to 500. The visa allows foreigners to live in Cyprus for one year, with the option of extending their stay for two more years.
