Chinese Embassy in Ghana Boosts Tourism and Trade with New Visa Center

The Chinese embassy in Ghana has established a visa center in Accra, aimed at facilitating travel to China for Ghanaians. Developed in collaboration with China Tourism Group Corporation Limited, this center offers streamlined and efficient visa services, anticipated to enhance tourism and trade ties between the two nations.

Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Lu Kun, highlighted the center’s objective of delivering “convenience, superior quality, and effective services” for Ghanaian travelers to China. Lu expressed confidence that the center would stimulate “bilateral exchanges and China-Ghana relations, fostering new people-to-people interactions.”

Mavis Nkansah Boadu, Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, acclaimed the visa center’s significance in bilateral relations. She emphasized the center’s pivotal role in facilitating “increased tourism, business ventures, academic collaborations, and cultural exchanges between Ghana and China.”

Boadu also unveiled Ghana’s intention to enhance visa application security by adopting an advanced security system, reciprocating China’s efforts.

The inauguration of this visa center underscores the growing economic and trade partnership between China and Ghana. With China being Ghana’s leading trading partner, this initiative is set to further strengthen cooperation across sectors such as tourism, investment, and education. The center’s establishment is anticipated to facilitate Ghanaian participation in these exchanges by simplifying travel to China.
