Indians Can Now Apply for Chinese Visas Without Fingerprints Until End of 2023

Chinese visa requirements for Indian travelers have undergone a notable revision, offering greater convenience. Until December 31, 2023, specific categories of Indian travelers, including those with purposes like business, tourism, short-term family visits, transit, and crew-related visits to China, will no longer need to submit fingerprint data as part of their visa application process. This adjustment aims to streamline and simplify the visa application process for these travelers.

It’s important to note that previously, individuals under the age of 14 or over 70, as well as those who had their fingerprints collected by the Chinese Embassy within the past five years using the same passport, were already exempt from this fingerprinting requirement. This change is expected to facilitate smoother travel arrangements for Indian citizens visiting China for various purposes.
