China Expands Visa-Free Entry to Six Nations

China has decided to expand its visa-free entry program to cover six more countries, namely Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. This means that citizens from these nations holding ordinary passports can now enter China without needing a visa. However, this policy is currently being implemented on a trial basis.

The new visa-free arrangement will be in effect from March 14 until November 30, 2024. During this period, travelers from these six countries can visit China for various purposes such as business meetings, tourism, visiting family members, or transiting through the country without the requirement of a visa. They are allowed to stay in China for a maximum of 15 days under this visa-free program.

This move aims to facilitate easier travel and strengthen ties between China and these six nations by simplifying the entry process for their citizens during the specified trial period.
