More Chinese folks are excited about this! On March 1, Trip.com says bookings to Thailand jumped up by a huge 300% compared to last year.
Flights from Thailand to China in mid-March also increased a lot – up by 80% from last year and 70% from 2019, says Ly.com.
And this week, more people are searching for flights to Bangkok – up by 70%, according to Qunar.com.
Last September, Thailand said, “Come visit!” and allowed people from China and Kazakhstan to come without a visa until February 2024. It worked so well that now, people from both countries can travel without visas, making it super easy to explore each other’s places!
