Canada has set a limit on study permits, with the government planning to issue about 292,000 permits for undergraduate and postgraduate students in 2024.
According to Canada’s Immigration Minister, Marc Miller, around 292,000 study permits will be available for international students in 2024, as reported by the Globe and Mail.
This decision comes after Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) decided to cap study permit applications to control what they see as an unsustainable increase in the number of international students.
