Canada has temporarily stopped giving visas in Bengaluru, Chandigarh & Mumbai. Now, you can only get them in Delhi. India did something similar a month ago. Canada said there might be protests in India against them. They told people to be careful and avoid crowded places.
The UK and Canada are processing visas like they did before Covid, but the US is slower. Canada’s Foreign Minister said India’s decision will affect services in both countries. This means they won’t do things in person in Chandigarh, Mumbai, and Bangalore for some time.
Last month, the relationship between India and Canada got worse after Canada’s PM said India was linked to a murder in Canada. India said this is wrong and that Canada needs to be safer from bad people.
