Starting April 30, 2024, Canada has raised fees for PR visa applications. Here are the updated fees:
- Right of Permanent Residence Fee: Principal applicant and spouse/common-law partner – $575 (up from $515)
- Federal Skilled Workers, Provincial Nominee Program, Quebec Skilled Workers, Atlantic Immigration Class, and most economic pilots: Principal applicant – $950 (up from $850), Spouse/common-law partner – $950 (up from $850), Dependent child – $260 (up from $230)
- Live-in Caregiver Program, caregivers pilots: Principal applicant – $635 (up from $570), Spouse/common-law partner – $635 (up from $570), Dependent child – $175 (up from $155)
- Business (federal and Quebec): Principal applicant – $1,810 (up from $1,625), Spouse/common-law partner – $950 (up from $850), Dependent child – $260 (up from $230)
- Family reunification (spouses, partners, children, parents, grandparents, and other relatives): Sponsorship fee – $85 (up from $75), Sponsored principal applicant – $545 (up from $490), Sponsored child – $85 (up from $75), Spouse/common-law partner – $635 (up from $570), Dependent child – $175 (up from $155)
- Protected persons: Principal applicant – $635 (up from $570), Spouse/common-law partner – $635 (up from $570), Dependent child – $175 (up from $155)
- Humanitarian and compassionate consideration / Public policy: Principal applicant – $635 (up from $570), Spouse/common-law partner – $635 (up from $570), Dependent child – $175 (up from $155)
- Permit holders: Principal applicant – $375 (up from $335)
Note: Some applicants are exempt from the Right of Permanent Residence (RPR) fees, including sponsored children under Family Class Sponsorship aged at least 22 without a spouse/partner, and applicants under Humanitarian and Compassionate consideration and public policy cases. Permit holders cannot include family members in their Canada PR applications.
