Calling Tech Talents Japan Offers Fast Visas for India & SEA

Japan wants to attract skilled tech workers from India and Southeast Asia to increase foreign investment to 100 trillion yen by 2030. They’re focusing on creating more investment opportunities, bringing in skilled tech workers, working with foreign companies, and making the business environment better.

To achieve this, Japan plans to make it easier for tech professionals from Southeast Asia and India to live and work in Japan. They might also allow business processes to be conducted in English to help foreign companies start operations in Japan.

Deputy Minister Tatsunori Ibayashi is determined to meet the investment target. Japan is introducing a new five-year working visa called the Specified Skills visa to address labor shortages. This visa replaces the Technical Intern Training Program and aims to be more clear and fair. It also offers a path for skilled workers to become permanent residents in Japan.
