Kuwaitis will be able to apply for Schengen visas from Bulgaria starting March 31, 2024, confirmed Dimitar Dimitrov, Bulgaria’s Ambassador to Kuwait.
Dimitrov announced that Kuwaiti applicants can obtain a Schengen visa directly from Bulgarian embassies instead of the national Bulgarian visa.
This change comes as Bulgaria partially joins the Schengen Area on March 31, 2024. Kuwaitis holding a Bulgaria Schengen visa can stay in the Schengen bloc for up to 90 days within a 180-day period and can also enter other Schengen countries.
To ensure a smooth process, Dimitrov advised Kuwait nationals to submit their visa applications at least 15 days before their intended travel date. Additionally, applications for a Schengen visa can be filed up to six months before the planned entry into the Schengen Area.Top of Form
