From March 31, 2024, Bulgaria will begin issuing five-year multiple-entry Schengen visas to holders of Kuwaiti passports.
The announcement came from Bulgaria’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Dimitar Dimitrov, who stated that once Bulgaria partially joins the Schengen Area, Kuwaitis will enjoy the same visa privileges as other Schengen member states.
Ambassador Dimitrov emphasized during a speech at the Bulgarian Embassy in Jabriya that the five-year multiple-entry visas will be granted to those who meet the necessary requirements.
He also reminded Kuwaiti nationals that the Bulgarian short-term visa allows stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period in the Schengen Area. Additionally, holders of Bulgarian Schengen visas can enter other Schengen member countries besides Bulgaria.
