I am applying From

and Iโ€™m going to

In the last school year (2023-24), the University of Birmingham welcomed over 1000 Indian students, and they’re expecting even more this year.

During a recent visit to New Delhi, Vice-Chancellor Adam Tickell shared that students from various parts of India are really interested in studying at Birmingham. He pointed out that a big reason for this is the UK’s graduate visa program, which lets students stay in the UK for two years (or three for PhD students) after finishing their studies to find a job.

Tickell assured that there won’t be any sudden changes to this program, making it a reliable option for students applying this year. He also mentioned how the graduate visa has helped Indian students get well-paying jobs in sectors that need more skilled workers. This, he said, could open up other visa options, like skilled worker visas, for those who want to stay in the UK after they finish studying.
