Bangladesh will soon introduce electronic visas (e-visas), Home Minister Khan Kamal announced on November 9, 2023. He made the announcement at the opening of a new passport office in Natore.
The minister also said that Bangladesh is committed to becoming a Smart Bangladesh and that it was the first country in Southwest Asia to introduce e-passports. Over 1.16 crore e-passports have already been issued, improving public services.
The home minister also inaugurated the Mujib corner at the office of Superintendent of Police during the event.
