To Track Your Visa Application:

1. Eligibility:
   • Use the ‘Track your application’ service only if you’ve submitted a visa application at the Canada Visa Application Centre and have an acknowledgment receipt with a tracking number.
2. Application Status:
   • The service provides info on your application/passport’s current location, not the specific stage of the application process.
3. IRCC Website:
   • If you applied directly on IRCC’s website, check your status there: IRCC Status Check
4. Tracking Methods:
   • Use the website, web chat, helpline, or email to track your application.
   • Enter your Tracking ID (from the receipt) and Date of Birth online.

6. SMS Service (Optional):
   • Stay updated on your application status via VFS Global’s SMS service (additional charge).
7. Decision and Passport Return:
   • Once the Canadian Visa Office decides, they’ll affix a visa or issue a letter.
   • Your passport returns to the Visa Application Centre, which will update you via your chosen communication method.
8. Passport Collection:
   • The Online Application Tracking System notifies when your passport is ready for pickup.
   • Collect it at the Canada Visa Application Centre.
