  • For your visa appointment at the Visa Application Centre, arrive 30 minutes early.
  • You have to be there yourself; you can’t send someone else.
  • Only applicants and one parent with a child under 18 can enter.
  • Bring printed copies of your visa application, passport bio page, and 2D barcoded sheets (2 copies). Also, bring a valid passport with at least 2 blank pages on both sides.
  • If you applied online and got a Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL), bring a printed copy of it, a consent form, and your passport.
  • Bring all your documents in both original and copy forms.
  • Kids under 14 don’t need to come. Kids under 18 must be with an adult who isn’t a VFS Global staff member.
Biometrics:

Starting November 2, 2018, if you’re applying for a Canada visa in Bangladesh, remember to book an appointment for biometrics at the Canada Visa Application Centre.

To check if you need biometrics, please click here

During biometrics:

  • They’ll take your fingerprints and facial features.
  • A digital fingerprint scanner will capture images of all 10 fingers and a quick photo.
  • Make sure your photo shows your whole face, avoid sunglasses or head coverings (unless for religious reasons), and wear bright-colored clothes. If your fingers have temporary injuries, wait until they heal, and keep them free from body decorations like mehndi.
  • For temporary visas, study, and work permits, give biometrics once every 10 years. For permanent residence, submit biometrics with each application.
  • If unsure about past submissions, check the IRCC website for your biometric status.
