Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has said that Bangladesh wants to establish visa-free relations with India for travelers from both countries in the near future. He said this at the annual “Bangladesh-India Friendship Dialogue” in Sylhet.

Momen also said that Bangladesh and India are working towards mutual excellence in various fields such as bilateral trade, education, culture, society, and technology.

He confirmed that Bangladesh and India share a common principle concerning the Teesta water-sharing issue, which is currently unresolved but expected to be addressed in due course.

The four-day “Bangladesh-India Friendship Dialogue” was inaugurated by National Parliament Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, with the aim of strengthening friendly relations between the two countries and fostering collaboration in the fields of education, culture, and business.

Prominent figures from both countries attended the opening ceremony and expressed their commitment to further enhancing bilateral relations.
