Australia is considering an expansion of its ten-year frequent traveler visa initiative for visitors from eligible ASEAN countries and East Timor, aiming to enhance its tourism sector. The proposed extension would grant tourists from Southeast Asian nations the convenience of Australia’s long-term visa program, allowing hassle-free travel for up to a decade.
In addition to this, Australia is planning to extend the validity of its business visas from three to five years, streamlining processes for entrepreneurs and investors.
This move aligns with Australia’s efforts to strengthen economic relationships with countries to its north. The development comes amid shifts in the dynamics between the United States and China, the world’s two largest economies, as they redefine their relationship and alliances.
