Travel to Armenia is now more convenient for tourists from the UAE, as Armenia has simplified its visa regulations. Emiratis can now explore Armenia for up to 180 days within a year without needing a visa, allowing them to enjoy the stunning mountainous landscapes with ease.
Additionally, Armenia has made the visa process easier for individuals holding UAE residency visas. According to Sisian Boghossian MBA, who leads Armenia’s Tourism Committee, citizens from more than 50 countries, including Egypt, India, Iraq, Morocco, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia, can obtain visas upon arrival or through an e-visa at the Armenian border if they possess a valid resident card from GCC member states like the UAE.
These changes in the visa policy aim to encourage cultural exchange, boost tourism, and strengthen the relationship between Armenia and the UAE. Armenia’s tourism authorities are hopeful that these measures will inspire more tourists from the UAE to explore the captivating wonders of the Caucasus region.
