A 32-year-old architect and ten friends fell victim to a visa scam by Blue Ocean Marine Company in Bhumkar Chowk, Wakad, between October 2023 and January 2024. Trusting the company’s assurances, they believed in legitimate visa transactions but later discovered it was a deceitful ploy.

Architect Manish Kanaiyalala Swami and his friends sought visas for Brunei from the company, providing passports and documents. The company, however, created fake visa stamps and demanded money. Realizing the sophisticated scam, the victims filed a complaint with Hinjewadi police, resulting in a case under IPC sections 420, 465, 468, 469, 470, 476, and 34.
