Amritsar police haven’t arrested a fake travel agent couple, even though there have been four complaints.

A fraudulent travel agent couple has been accused of swindling four people out of Rs 61.93 lakh. The couple, Amoldeep Kaur Gill and her husband Haramrit Singh, operated an IELTS center in Amritsar. They promised to facilitate the victims’ children’s visa to Canada, but instead took their money and ran away.

The first victim, Parminder Singh, lost Rs 22 lakh. He filed a complaint with the police, but they did not take action immediately. The couple then absconded after shutting down their center.

Three other victims, Abhi Verma, Sukhjit Singh, and Hari Singh, have also filed complaints against the couple. They lost Rs 10.18 lakh, Rs 12.75 lakh, and Rs 17 lakh, respectively.

Parminder Singh alleged that the couple had filed false cases against him in court to harass him. He also said that the police have not made any progress in the investigation.

The police have registered four FIRs against the couple, but they are still at large. The victims are urging the police to apprehend the couple and bring them to justice.
