70 Indians Take Legal Action After H-1B Visa Denials by US Government

Around 70 Indian nationals are suing the US government following the rejection of their H-1B visas. They were blindsided by the denials, receiving no prior notice from the Department of State.

Reported by Bloomberg Law, this group of Indians is pursuing legal action against the US government due to alleged visa fraud by their employers. They were employed through a training program for foreign graduates of US universities.

In their lawsuit filed in a Washington state federal court, the plaintiffs claim innocence in employer-driven fraud. Despite their non-involvement, they faced unjust consequences linked to their employers’ actions, without a chance to respond.

Despite now working for legitimate companies, the Department of Homeland Security continues to deny them H-1B specialty occupation visas. According to attorney Jonathan Wasden from Wasden Law, the agency assumed guilt by association, presuming involvement in fraudulent misrepresentation.
